London Bridge will be the site for an exciting evening of International Amateur Boxing on Tuesday, 6th May, 2008 when the 5th annual "Battle of the Badges" is waged between emergency service teams representing the great cities of London and New York.
Battle of the Badges is a yearly home-and-away black tie Charity event that pits the amateur boxing team of the London Met Police Trenchard boxers against a combined team comprised of cops and fire-fighters from New York City. London won the first three Battle of the Badges events but New York took their first event victory last June in Manhattan when winning eight of the 10 bouts. The purpose of the evening is to have fun, cheer on your team and to generate support for the London Metropolitan & City Police Widows and Orphans Fund.
Personally supported by both the President of the United states and by the British Prime Minister, "Battle of the Badges" also is keenly backed by the Mayor of New York City and by the Lord Mayor of London. The event is a reminder of the unique and enduring bond between the USA and Great Britain.
"Battle of the Badges" provides companies with a unique corporate hospitality and entertainment opportunity. Following a pre-event no-host drinks reception, guests then enjoy a three-course dinner as the action unfolds around them. Don't miss out - book your table today.
